This card is full of glamour! I made a card and then a card cover/folder to put it in. Inside the card is a pocket for a bookmark and gift card. Lots of sparkle and bling went into making this for my special nieces' Sweet Sixteenth birthday.

It includes so many pieces and details, I think it took a week to make.

Front of the card folder. The pink flourish flap with the ballerina on it, opens to reveal the inside of the folder, which is where I also put the card.

Detail of the ultra glittery paper and the sparkle embossing powder.

This is the inside of the card folder/Cover

Doubled up on butterflies so I could make them 3-D

Once again I couldn't decide which card to post.
Each one is different and shows off the
paper parchment craft
 in a different way.

Sweet Stamp medallions are perfects for this craft.
They are so detailed and pretty.

I used a pop out technique to pop out areas
of the medallion (this lets the underneath color
show through). You can do this by using the needle
tool all the way around the area to pop out.
This creates a perforation and you can gently
take the piece of vellum out.

I also used a stippling technique to create a fine dotted white areas on the medallion. Just use the needle tool on the back of the vellum, but instead of using the piercing pad use a piece of cardboard, so that the needle doesn't go all the way through.

For this image I stamped it on vellum with black ink and
just embossed (from the back) the white part of the flower
with the embossing tool. This turns the vellum white.

Its hard to tell but it raises the white area
up and creates a 3-D effect.

I added gold border stickers and used the corner stamp and embossed with gold embossing powder on black paper. I added some stitching to the dp.

For the iris I used the embossing tool
(from the back of the vellum)
and just outlined the stamp lines.

I did a small amount of shading with the embossing tool as well. I used the pop out technique to pop the frame out, creating a delicate edge.

I used an embossing plate to create the flower texture, then cut it into 4 pieces.
I distressed the edges and matted it with brown paper.

I used find detail gold embossing powder for the butterfly and scroll work corners.
For the die cut flower...I used a brown marker to create lines inside the flower.

I added some gold butterflies, flying off the left side of the inside.

Close up detail pf the butterfly and scroll corner. I used a markers to color inside the scroll corner and the butterfly. Also I used the french brown ink to add brown edges to the butterfly that I cut out.

Using a sponge, I added distressing to the frame with three different ink colors.
