Sweet Stamps Winter Blues



This week we have a Winter Blues Challenge at Sweet Stamps. Be sure to check out the blog to see all the great cards that the Design Team and others that have entered, have made!  Anyone can enter,

I used various Sweet Stamps snowflakes and blue inks to create the snowy background. I also used a snowflake die cut I had for the little white snowflakes.

To create the two main snowflakes:
I stamped the large snowflakes on vellum and heat embossed silver embossing powder on it. Then I dry embossed on the vellum (from the back) to turn certain areas of the vellum white, and also to make it stick up. I colored other areas of the vellum blue. Lastly I matted the snowflakes with silver metallic paper.
