This week at Sweet Stamps we have a "ROSE" challenge.
Be sure to check out the blog to see all the great cards that the
Design Team and others that have entered, have made!
Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp
you get two entries into the challenge for
a chance to win a $20 shopping spree.
Check the Sweet Stamps blog for details.
I had a few projects I wanted to share with you.
The bookmark and framed card below was created using Parchment Crafting Technique. You can see a video demonstration on this craft here.
A close up of this card shows the intricate details you can create using a
metal grid with the vellum and needle tools. I stamped the
images (frame and roses) with white ink, then I used an embossing stylus to
get the nice white effect on the vellum. I made the grid pattern.
Cut out small areas using the single needle tool. I call it
"Popping out sections" so that the paper under shows through.
I colored the vellum with
colored pencils (from the back of the vellum).
I then matted the vellum onto pink paper. Be careful to use your
adhesive only where you have colored or it will show through the vellum.
This is one more card using the wild roses. (Done on paper, not vellum)
